According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:24 p.m. at the intersection of North Courtenay Parkway and Myrtice Avenue. Carroll was traveling northbound in a 2011 Kia Sedona on State Road 3 when she reportedly experienced a medical episode, causing her vehicle to veer off the roadway and collide with a building.

Emergency personnel responded swiftly, transporting Carroll to Cape Canaveral Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Authorities noted she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
